About the Sabbath day. Christ performs healings. The sin against the Holy Spirit:

1 At that time Jesus went through the fields on a Sabbath day. His disciples became hungry and began to pluck heads of grain and eat. 2 And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is not permitted on the Sabbath day.” 3 And he said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he and those who were with him became hungry? 4 how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not permitted for him to eat, nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests. 5 Or have you not read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests, by serving in the temple, set aside the Sabbath, and yet are not considered guilty? 6 But I tell you that something greater than the temple is here. 7 But if you knew what this means, “I want mercy and not sacrifice,” you would not condemn the innocent. 8 For the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath. 9 And Jesus went on from there and came into their synagogue. 10 and now, there was a man there with a withered hand. In order to accuse Jesus, they questioned him and said, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?” 11 And He said to them, “Which of you will be the man who, if he has one sheep and it falls into a pit on the Sabbath day, will not take hold of it and pull it out?” 12 Now a man is worth far more than a sheep. Therefore it is right to do good on the Sabbath day.” 13 Then he said to that man, “Stretch out your hand.” And he stretched it out, and it was restored, like the other. 14 But the Pharisees went out and took counsel against Him, how they might destroy Him. 15 And Jesus, knowing this, withdrew from there, and a great crowd followed Him. And He healed them all. 16 And he commanded them not to make him known, 17 so that what was spoken through the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled, who says. 18 “now, my servant whom I chose, and my beloved, in whom my Spirit was well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles.” 19 He will not quarrel, he will not cry out, and no one will hear his voice in the streets. 20 He will not break a bruised reed, and he will not put out a smoldering wick, until he brings justice to victory. 21 And the Gentiles will place their hope in his name” (Isa. 42:1–4). 22 Then they brought to Him a demon-possessed man who was blind and mute, and Jesus healed him, so that the blind and mute man both saw and spoke. 23 And the whole crowd was amazed and was saying, “Could this be the Son of David?” 24 But the Pharisees, hearing it, said, “He does not cast out demons by anything else, except only by Beelzebul, the ruler of demons”. 25 And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be destroyed, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.” 26 And if Satan drives out Satan, he is divided against himself. Then how will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, then by what do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 28 But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 29 Or how can someone enter a strong man’s house and seize his possessions, unless he first ties up the strong man, and then plunders his house? 30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. 31 For this reason I tell you: every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven people. 32 Whoever says anything against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, neither in this world nor in the one to come. 33 If you make the tree good, its fruit will also be good. if you make the tree bad, its fruit will also be bad, because a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers, how can you speak good things when you are evil? For the mouth speaks from the fullness of the heart. 35 The good man brings out good things from the good treasure of his heart, and the evil man brings out evil things from his evil treasure. 36 But I tell you that for every empty word that people speak, they will give an account on the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned. 38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered Jesus and said, “Teacher, we want to see a sign from you.” 39 He answered and said to them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” 40 For just as Jonah was in the belly of the great fish for three days and three nights, so also the Son of Man will be in the heart of the earth for three days and three nights. 41 The men of Nineveh will rise up on the day of judgment with this generation and will condemn it, because they repented at Jonah’s preaching. and now, One greater than Jonah is here. 42 The queen of the South will rise up on the day of judgment with this generation and will condemn it, because she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon. and now, something greater than Solomon is here. 43 And when the unclean spirit comes out of a person, it wanders through waterless places seeking rest, but it does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came out,’ and it comes and finds it emptied, cleaned, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and live there. And the last state of that person becomes worse than the first. So it will be also with this evil generation.” 46 While Jesus was speaking with the crowd, now, his mother and his brothers were standing outside and wanted to speak with him. 47 And someone said to Him, “Look, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside and want to speak with You”. 48 But he answered the one who was speaking to him and said, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers.” 50 For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.”
