Psalm 19 — God’s glory in creation and within it

1 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the expanse of the sky proclaims the works of His hands. 2 Day passes on speech to day, and night makes knowledge known to night. 3 There is no speech and there are no words whose voice is not heard. 4 Their voice went out through all the earth, and their words to the ends of the world. There He set a tent for the sun. 5 He comes out of his tent like a bridegroom, and like a mighty man he rejoices to run his course. 6 Its rising is from one end of the heavens, and its course is to the other end, and nothing is hidden from its heat. 7 The law of the Lord is perfect, restoring the soul. The commandment of the Lord is true, making the simple-minded wise. 8 The Lord’s commandments are upright. they make the heart rejoice. The Lord’s command is pure. it gives light to the eyes. 9 The fear of the Lord is pure, remaining forever. The judgments of the Lord are true and altogether righteous. 10 They are more desirable than gold, even than a great amount of refined gold. they are sweeter than honey and the honeycomb. 11 Your servant also is warned by them, and in keeping them there is great reward. 12 Who can know his offenses? Cleanse me also from my hidden sins. 13 Keep Your servant from arrogant sins. do not let them rule over me. Then I will be blameless and clean from great transgressions. 14 May the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be pleasing before You, O Lord, my Rock and my Savior.
