1
Save, Lord, for the godly man has vanished, and the faithful have diminished from among the sons of men.
2
Each one speaks lies with his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips and with a double heart.
3
May the Lord cut off all flattering lips and boastful tongues.
4
They say, “We are strong with our tongues, our lips are with us. Who is the one ruling over us?”
5
“Because of the oppression of the poor and the groaning of the needy, now I will rise up,” says the Lord, “I will place in safety the one who longs for it.”
6
The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times.
7
You, Lord, will keep them, and You will preserve them from this generation forever.
8
The wicked walk about on every side, when the vile are exalted among the sons of men.
