1
When I call, answer me, O God of my righteousness. In distress You set me free. Have mercy on me and hear my prayer.
2
O sons of men, how long will you turn my glory into shame, love vanity, and seek falsehood?
3
Know that the Lord has set apart the godly for Himself. The Lord will hear when I call to Him.
4
Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate in your hearts on your beds, and be silent.
5
Offer sacrifices of righteousness and trust in the Lord.
6
Many say, “Who will show us good?” Lift up the light of Your face upon us, O Lord.
7
You have put greater joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.
8
In peace I will lie down and at once fall asleep, because You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.
