Psalm 11 — Trust in the Lord

To the chief musician. A psalm of David.
⬅ Back
1 I take refuge in the Lord. How can you say to my soul, “Flee to your mountains like a bird”? 2 For now, the wicked bend the bow. they set their arrows on the string, so that in the darkness they may shoot at the upright in heart. 3 If the foundations are torn down, what can the righteous do? 4 The Lord is in His holy temple, the Lord’s throne is in heaven. His eyes see, His gaze examines the sons of men. 5 The Lord examines the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence. 6 He will rain snares, fire and sulfur on the wicked, and a burning wind will be the portion of their cup. 7 For the Lord is righteous and loves righteousness. The upright will see His face.
