Psalm 9:7

But the Lord reigns forever. He has prepared His throne for judgment.

The enemy’s passing rule is set against the Lord’s everlasting kingship. Cities may fall, kingdoms may change, and human names may be forgotten, but God’s throne remains. The words “He has prepared His throne for judgment” show that the world has not been left to the rule of disorder and injustice. God sees everything and, in His time, judges people and nations with righteousness. His judgment is not a random reaction, but an inseparable part of His righteous kingdom. For the believer, this is comfort in uncertain times. A person should not tie his hope only, for example, to political, economic, or social stability. The Lord remains King even when earthly systems are shaken. At the same time, His throne prepared for judgment is a call to live a responsible life. Every deed, word, and motive of the heart is open before Him. Therefore, trusting the eternal King also includes obeying His righteous will.
