Psalm 8:2

Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies You established Your strength against Your enemies, to silence the enemy and the avenger.

God often reveals His power through means that the world considers weak and insignificant. Praise sounding from the mouths of children becomes a testimony that silences enemies. This shows that the Lord’s victory does not depend on human greatness, education, or authority. Through simple faith He can put arrogance to shame. Jesus Christ applied this word in the temple concerning the children who were praising Him (Matthew 21:15–16). Thus the verse received a clear Christological application: the children’s praise testified to the glory of the Messiah. For the believer, this is an encouragement not to undervalue simple and sincere testimony. God can use a humble prayer, a child’s faith, or a word that seems insignificant to confirm His truth. His power is made perfect in human weakness.
