In this passage Jesus immediately responds to the centurion’s request, offering to go personally and heal his servant. Jesus’ answer shows his willingness to help and his compassion toward human suffering. He is ready to go to the centurion’s house, regardless of the fact that the centurion was likely a Roman, while he himself was a Jew.
