Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go, and let it be for you just as you believed.” And his servant was healed at that moment.
In this passage Jesus responds to the centurion’s faith, saying that according to his faith, his request will be done. Jesus does not go to the centurion’s house, but by the power of his word he heals his servant at that very moment, which once again shows Jesus’ inexhaustible authority. Because of the centurion’s deep faith, a miracle takes place: his servant is healed at that same moment. This event is an important example of how faith sets God’s power in motion, and how important it is to trust in God’s ability without visible evidence.
