Matthew 8:10

When Jesus heard this, he marveled and said to those who were following him, “Truly I tell you, not even in Israel have I found such faith.”

In this passage Jesus is amazed at the centurion’s deep faith. Jesus notes that even in Israel, where people should have had great faith, he has not found such deep and powerful faith. The centurion’s faith was exceptional because, most likely being a Roman, he believed in Jesus’ authority—that with only one word it was possible to heal his servant. These words from Jesus are important because they show that faith is not limited by ethnicity or position, but comes from personal qualities and humility, regardless of a person’s social standing.
