By this comparison Christ teaches that God cares even for the smallest creatures, granting them beauty and vitality without their effort. If this is so toward nature, then all the more God will not abandon His children. This word is an exhortation to stop excessive anxiety about material security and to trust God completely, who governs everything and orders all things in a perfect way.
