Matthew 25:31

And when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

In this saying, Jesus reveals the majestic and holy scene of the final judgment. The Son of Man appears here not in the form of humility, as at the time of the first coming, but in full glory and authority. The presence of the holy angels bears witness to the greatness of his coming and the fullness of divine power. Sitting on the “throne of glory” symbolizes the royal supremacy by which Christ appears as Lord and Judge, holding authority over all humanity. This word confirms that the coming day will be an open and triumphant day, when every heart will be laid bare and every deed will be judged. Christ’s coming in glory is a reminder to us all that the present time is the time of grace and repentance, and the coming day is the day of righteous judgment, when each person will stand before the Lord to receive reward according to his deeds and faithfulness.
