Matthew 25:27

So you should at least have deposited my money with the money changers, so that when I returned I could have demanded what was mine with interest.

The Lord shows that the servant’s justification was not only groundless, but also self-contradictory, because if he truly feared his master, then at least he should have made the smallest effort by entrusting his master’s silver to the money changers, so that it would increase and return with profit. This word emphasizes that God expects a person to use the gifts of grace given to him in some way, even with a small step, rather than remain in inactivity, because, as we will see next, an inactive faith not only produces no fruit, but also causes a person to lose even what he had.
