Matthew 25:17

In the same way, the one who had received two talents gained two more talents.

This word shows that faithfulness is not measured by the amount of gifts given, but by the faith and diligence with which they are used. The servant who received two talents, though he had received less, acted with the same faithfulness and devotion as the one who received five talents. His result—four talents—shows that before God what is valuable is not the size, but the faithfulness of the soul. This confirms that each person has his own distinct path in service, and the same faithfulness brings the same blessing, regardless of the greatness of the grace given. In this way Jesus teaches that God values great and small services equally, if they are done with a sincere heart and faith.
