Matthew 2:11

And when they had come into the house, they saw the Child with His mother Mary, and falling down, they worshiped Him. Then, opening their treasure chests, they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh.

This verse describes the worship of the Magi of the child Jesus, which shows their recognition of Him not as an ordinary child, but as King and God. Their gifts were symbolic: gold, a sign of royal authority; frankincense, a symbol of divine worship; and myrrh, a foreshadowing of the sacrifice and death that awaited Him. Thus, this act of the Magi has become the first clear testimony to the nature of Christ as King, God, and Savior. Their humility and the gifts they offered show the depth of faith by which they recognized the revelation of God in the incarnate Christ.
