The wording “some” shows that this experience was to be given to certain disciples as a testimony and a confirmation of faith. This saying connects the preceding teaching about suffering with the hope of glory, showing that Christ’s path is from the cross to the kingdom, and that his authority is not only a promise for the future, but a reality that already begins in the present.
