Matthew 16:25

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.

In this saying, Jesus completely overturns ordinary human thinking, revealing the true value of life. He shows that the one who strives to “save” his life by living a self-centered life built on security, honor, or pleasure will in the end lose it—not only in this world, but also in eternity. But the one who is ready to lose his life for Christ, renouncing personal gain and his own will for His sake, finds true and immortal life precisely in that sacrifice. This word reveals a deep spiritual law: the one who keeps everything for himself, in the end loses everything, but the one who in faith entrusts his life to God gains everything.
