Matthew 15:37

And they all ate and were satisfied. And they filled seven baskets with the leftover pieces.

This verse shows not only that the people ate, but also that they were fully satisfied. This testifies to the nature of God’s blessing: He does not give only enough to survive, but in abundance. The second important emphasis is the phrase “seven baskets of leftovers remained.” This shows that God’s care exceeds expectations; His grace is not only sufficient, but is also given in greater measure—here, with seven baskets of surplus. The gathering of the leftovers shows the principle of thrift and order: even in the circumstances of a miracle, nothing is left neglected or treated with contempt.
