And Jesus, leaving from there, came near the Sea of Galilee, and went up the mountain and sat there.
Jesus leaves the regions of Tyre and Sidon and returns to the region of Galilee, the territory of the Jews. His sitting on the mountain is a sign that He is preparing once again to minister to the people—to teach, to heal, and to work miracles. This also shows that His ministry continues without interruption, in order to be accessible to all who seek Him, to spread the presence of the heavenly kingdom everywhere, without boundaries or discrimination.
