Matthew 15:25

And that woman came, worshiped Him, and said, “Lord, help me.”

This verse reveals the woman’s persistent faith and humility. Despite Jesus’ silence (verse 23) and the words that at first sound like a rejection (verse 24), the woman did not leave, did not take offense, and did not lose faith. She not only continues to ask, but now she is already worshiping Jesus, recognizing Him not only as a helper, but as Lord. Her plea is simple, sincere, and deep. She does not try to justify her worthiness, nor does she make a demand. She simply relies on Christ’s mercy and power. All this is an example for us as well: if at times we encounter silence or moments of testing, then we must not retreat, but must show faith that does not draw back.
