Matthew 14:32

And when they got into the boat, the wind calmed down.

The wind does not calm down until Jesus and Peter are in the boat. This shows that true peace comes only when Jesus is fully involved in the situation. The storm kept raging even at the moment when Jesus was already walking on the water. But it ended when he brought Peter back into the boat and entered in with them. This is a spiritual principle: Christ not only saves from the water, but also brings peace over the whole situation—in other words, he brings peace into the “inside of the boat” of our life. He is not only the one who calms the wind, but he is the one who walks through storms in order to reach us.
