Matthew 11:26

Yes, Father, because it pleased you to do so.

With these words Jesus affirms the wisdom and good pleasure of God’s will, acknowledging that the Father reveals the mysteries of His kingdom not to self-assured people who rely on their own knowledge, but to humble and simple hearts. The phrase “it was pleasing to you” shows that God’s work is not determined by human judgments, but is carried out in His love and deep wisdom. Jesus accepts this divine choice with complete obedience, bearing witness that the Father acts in a perfect way, and that this path often runs contrary to the path human reasoning would expect. This word reveals that God’s approach toward people is based on the condition of the heart, and that the truth is opened to those who are ready to receive it with humility and faith.
