Mark 9:39

But Jesus said, “Do not forbid him, because there is no one who will do a mighty work in My name and be able to speak evil of Me.

The Lord corrects their mistaken attitude. He does not erase the standard of truth, but shows that whoever truly does mighty works in Christ’s name cannot lightly become His opponent. Here the Lord defends the breadth and freedom of His name. People must not claim as their own what belongs to Christ. If a work is truly done in His name and against evil, then one should not rush to reject it only because it does not come from circles familiar to us. This word teaches caution in judging and generosity where the true name of Christ is at work.
