Mark 6:56

And wherever He entered—villages, cities, or farms—they would lay the sick in the marketplaces and beg Him that they might touch even the edge of His garment. And as many as touched Him were healed.

When He entered, whether a large city or a small village, people brought their sick and laid them in the marketplaces. They begged to touch even the fringe of His garment. This recalls the story of the woman with the flow of blood and shows how the report of faith spreads among the people. They believed that even touching Him was enough to be healed. And the Evangelist says that all who touched Him were healed. This bears deep witness to the abundant and unceasing mercy of Christ. In Him there is no reluctance to help, no lack of power, no limitation because of the number of people. He is sufficient for all who come to Him in faith. Thus, this chapter ends with a picture of the fullness of Christ’s ministry, where both the abundance of miracles and His merciful healing are seen. All of this together testifies that He is Lord over human hearts, over the forces of nature, and over human weaknesses, and the one who comes to Him is never left without help.
