And when they came out of the boat, the people immediately recognized Jesus.
Here there is a contrast with Nazareth. There the people recognized Him according to the flesh and were offended. Here the people recognize Him according to their need and hurry to Him, because His fame had already spread in those regions and people had previously heard about His works. These different ways of recognizing Him reveal the differences of hearts. Some see Him and say, “We know this man,” while others see Him and say in their heart, “This is our help.” This recognition in Gennesaret becomes the beginning of action moved by faith.
