And crossing over to the other side of the lake, they came to the land of Gennesaret and went ashore.
After the danger on the lake, they arrive at Gennesaret, a fertile and inhabited place on the western shore of the Sea of Galilee. This crossing shows that Christ not only meets His disciples in the storm, but also brings them safely to the other shore. Traveling with Him does not exclude trial, but it guarantees the destination according to His will. Gennesaret becomes a place of new ministry, where His healing power will be revealed. This shows that after trials, God’s work does not cease, but continues in a new way and in a new place.
