And immediately her flow of blood dried up, and in her body she felt that she was healed of her affliction.
The healing happens immediately. The illness that had been wearing her down for twelve years stops in an instant. This shows the perfect and un-delayed nature of Christ’s healing power: He does not test, does not prolong, but heals at once. The woman felt the healing in her body; that is, salvation here was not a vague feeling, but a real and recognizable change. Thus it is revealed that the work done by Christ is true and complete, and it brings a person real freedom from what he was suffering.
