When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.
The beginning of this woman’s healing starts with hearing about Jesus, because faith is born from hearing. She comes from behind the crowd, with humility and in a hidden way. Because of her illness she probably felt ashamed or did not dare to approach openly. Yet within her a confidence had already been born that only with Jesus there is healing. Her touching Jesus’ garment seemed like a small thing outwardly, but within it there was great faith. She was not coming with empty curiosity, but with faith and confidence that in Christ there is divine power.
