Mark 16:12

After that, Jesus appeared in another form to two of them as they were going to the countryside.

The risen Lord also appears to two disciples on the road as they were going to the fields. The expression “in another form” shows that His risen body was real, yet also glorified and not always immediately recognizable to the ordinary eye. He draws near to the disciples going to the fields, who were leaving in mourning and uncertainty. Christ does not appear only near the tomb, but also comes on the road, there where people walk confused and sorrowful. This is a great comfort: the risen Lord knows the paths of His own and can draw near to them even when they still do not recognize His presence.
