Truly I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not one dot or even one small stroke will pass from the Law until all is fulfilled.

He declares that until the end of the world, not even the smallest point of the law will pass away or lose its power, until everything is fully fulfilled. The Law and the Prophets are perfect and have eternal value. This word confirms that God’s word is enduring and everlasting. Every part of the law, even the smallest mark and point, is important and will be carried out in its fullness. Jesus shows that his mission is not to change or abolish, but to fulfill and bring to completion God’s laws in their comprehensive content.
