Matthew 28:16

But the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them.

The disciples’ going to Galilee shows their obedient faith and their trust in the Lord’s word; they go to the place where He had promised to appear. Galilee was the place where Christ’s ministry had begun, and now His victorious presence was to be established there. The mountain symbolizes the place of drawing near to heaven—spiritual height, where a person hears the word of God. “The eleven disciples” recalls Judas’s absence, but it also bears witness to the Lord’s readiness to continue His work. This verse shows that meeting with God is always granted to those who walk by faith, not to those who wait without taking a step.
