Nor be called “teachers,” because One is your Teacher: Christ.
Jesus continues the same thought, emphasizing that the true spiritual Teacher is only He, Christ. This does not mean that there should not be teachers or leaders among people, but that their teaching and guiding power must come from Christ. He is the only source of truth and wisdom, and every person who teaches others must act as a messenger of His word, not as an independent authority. Christ is the only Teacher, because only He can cleanse the mind, change the heart, and lead toward eternal truth.
