Matthew 13:41

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather out of his kingdom all stumbling blocks and those who practice lawlessness.

In this saying, Jesus reveals the course of the final judgment and His role as the Son of Man. In the end, He Himself will send His angels to carry out the divine separation. They will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks—that is, everything and everyone who has become a cause of deception for others—as well as those who practice lawlessness, who have knowingly lived contrary to God’s will. It is important that this separation will take place within the boundaries of the kingdom of God, which shows that not only openly evil people will be removed, but also those who outwardly were considered believers, yet in their hearts and by their deeds did not live according to the truth. This word is a clear call to have not a merely formal faith, but a living faith confirmed by deeds, because the final measure will be not one’s words, but the life a person has lived.
