He answered them and said, “The one who sows the good seed is the Son of Man,
By “the Son of Man” here Jesus means Himself. He is the one who sows, that is, the one who spreads the word and truth of God. The good seed symbolizes the sons of the kingdom of God (see the next verse, Matt. 13:38). That is, Jesus not only teaches, but by His word and presence He changes people, making them good seeds so that they may bear fruit for God.
