It is the smallest of all seeds, but when it grows, it becomes larger than all the plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the sky come and rest in its branches.”
The kingdom of God at first seems very small, like a mustard seed, but over time it grows and becomes strong. In it people find refuge and peace, like the birds in the branches of a tree that has already grown. In this way Jesus teaches not to disregard the humble beginnings of God’s work, because they bring great results.
