Matthew 13:23

But the seed that fell on good soil is the person who hears the word and understands it, and bears fruit: one a hundredfold, another sixtyfold, and another thirtyfold.”

Jesus explains that the seed that fell on good soil represents those people who not only hear the word of God, but also understand, receive, and live according to it. These people have an open heart and a readiness for the word of God to take root within them, and as a result they bear spiritual fruit. The different measures of fruitfulness (a hundred, sixty, thirty) show that not all believers produce results to the same degree, but the most important thing is that they bear fruit, which proves the word’s working in their lives. This word teaches that true faith must be expressed through being accompanied by the word of God, through understanding, through fruitful works, and therefore also through spiritual growth.
