Matthew 10:7

As you go, preach and say that the kingdom of heaven has drawn near.

In this saying Jesus defines the heart of the apostles’ preaching content, not as a theoretical teaching, but as an urgent gospel announcement that the kingdom of God is already near to people’s lives. The phrase “has drawn near” shows that the kingdom is not a distant promise of the future, but a present reality in Christ’s presence, which calls for repentance, faith, and a changed life. This message requires a response—not only to hear, but to accept God’s rule within one’s own life. Thus their preaching becomes an invitation to enter a new reality where God reigns.
