So do not be afraid of them, for there is nothing hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing secret that will not become known.
Jesus encourages the disciples not to fear those people who can persecute or accuse them. He assures them that God’s truth, however temporary, hidden, or hard to understand it may seem, will in the end become known and accessible to everyone (this explanatory guide also bears witness to that). There is also the meaning here that whatever is hidden—whether sin, injustice, or falsehood—will in the end become known, and all secrets will be revealed under God’s light. This encourages the disciples to believe that in the end justice and truth will be made known, and their devotion to God’s will will be rewarded.
