And leaving from there, He came to the regions of Tyre and Sidon. Entering a house, He did not want anyone to know, yet He could not remain hidden.
Christ leaves that region and goes to Gentile areas, to the borders of Tyre and Sidon. This shows that His ministry is gradually opening wider horizons. He enters a house and seems to be seeking seclusion, perhaps for rest or for temporary privacy. But His presence could not be hidden for long. Holiness, mercy, and power are a kind of light that cannot remain concealed when people’s need is searching for them. This verse shows that Christ’s work is not limited by outward circumstances, and even when He tries to remain unnoticed, the news about Him reaches those who need His help.
