Mark 2:3

They came to Him, bringing a paralyzed man, whom four men were carrying.

This verse presents a beautiful picture of human need and love. The paralytic could not come to Christ on his own, but beside him there were people who, with their care and effort, brought him before the Lord. Here we see not only the helpless condition of the sick man, but also the strength of the faith and love of those who brought him. Many times a person, in spiritual or physical weakness, is so burdened that he cannot move toward help by himself, and then God makes use of the faith, prayer, and service of others. This scene reminds us that true love always makes an effort and brings others to Christ.
