Mark 11:7

And they brought the donkey to Jesus, threw their garments on it, and He sat on it.

Throwing the disciples’ garments on the donkey was a sign of honor and service. With what they have, they prepare a place for the Lord to sit. Christ sits on the donkey, fulfilling the prophetic image of the humble King. His royal entry is at once glorious and humble. He is King, yet He comes not on a horse and with force, but on an animal of peace. This shows the nature of His kingdom: He conquers not with the sword, but with love, not by a display of power, but by obedience and sacrifice.
