This verse shows people’s great expectation of Christ. After the Sabbath restrictions have passed, the people hurry to bring all their sufferers to Him. This testifies that human pain is diverse, but the source of true help is one: Christ. He becomes the center for all who are in need—for the sick, the demon-possessed, and the despairing. This picture reminds us that there is no wound or bondage for which a person cannot come to the Lord.
